2 Years!

Yesterday was Josh and my 2 year anniversary. My ticker is a little off and I don't know why. Anyways, we went out to outback to eat and then went and saw The Nativity. Oh my that movie was so good. It made me have a whole new look on life. I told my mother-in-law thank you for being in the room with me at the hospital when I had Caleb because I just thought to myself how alone Joseph and Mary must have felt in that manger and none of their family members were there. And then to be able to have a son like Mary had. I couldn't imagine the thought she must have had going through her head knowing that he boy was going to save the world. I have read the story in the bible and have heard about it numerous times but to see it come to life in a movie was just amazing. Josh has something planned this weekend for our anniversary but will not tell me what it is. He has just told me what to pack. I am very excited because I love surprises. Well, I will talk to ya later. Oh, yes I will get some pics up asap.

My goodness

Well, we are here and have been here now for a couple of weeks. It has been stressful and exciting all in one. We are living with Josh's grandparents for now in a little apartment that is built onto their house. It is nice knowing that we are wanted here unlike the other place. That has left us with a lot of hurt. Caleb is getting so big now. Ever since he started crawling if feels like he is becoming a little boy. He got his first tooth a day before Thanksgiving and of course he was not feeling good on Thanksgiving day. I thank God everyday for him. He is one true blessing even if he gets fussy sometimes. A fun story about the other night...Josh and I met with Danielle and went to go get Lacey a puppy for Christmas, which by the way is soooooo cute. Anyways, in order to get her to come home we told her that Josh and I had some family news that we wanted to share with every one. So of course she thought we were pregnant. We all sat around in the living room and Danielle passed out the stockings and said okay we are having a new addition to the family and we are going to see if it is a boy or a girl and when Lacey opened up her stocking it was a dog collar with a tag on it. She started crying. It was so cute. Then Danielle went to go get the puppy out of the garage and brought it to her. She was so happy and surprised. So we kinda had an early Christmas. It was fun. About the moving, please pray that I get a job and I get one fast! We are trying to buy a house and obviously it would help if we had 2 incomes. I have an interview with Lifestyles Christian School tomorrow and then I have put my application out for the Conroe ISD. I need to pray hard that something will open up for me to take. Well, I need to go to bed. I will try and write more later. Until then God Bless

TOO Much going on!!!!!!

Okay so I am in NJ visiting my family. I came up here to come to my sister's wedding shower and show off the baby too. We are having a lot of fun being around my family. I miss them all so much and miss things about Jersey too. Anyways, we will be coming home on Wednesday. Yesterday, November 5th, 2006 Mr. Caleb Paul Allard himself crawled for the very first time. My dad, mom, and I were all in the living room and were watching him just move around and then all of a sudden he started crawling. It was so cute and I was so proud of him. Also, November 15th, we are moving to the Houston area. We have prayed about it and have accepted a church in Conroe that we are going to be Music and Youth pastors. The church is called Cornerstone Church Assemblies of God. We are extremely happy about it. So, all you girls that are in the area we are for sure going to get together now!!! We are going to live with Josh's grandparents until we find an area that we like and then we are going to purchase a home. We are going to look in the Spring and Conroe area. Well, I need to go to bed because I am fading quickly but I will try to post more later. Love y'all and hope you are doing well. I am so excited for you pregnant ones out there too. Can't wait for more updated pics. Michelle we need to see tummy!!! Okay, adios!

Long Day of school!!!

When we got home from daycare he was in the back seat in his car seat all slouched over. I thought for sure he would wake up but brought him upstairs and laid him down on the bed and he is still sleeping. SOOOOO PRECIOUS! I love him. He has started to really pronounce the "Momma Momma Momma". It is so cute. I feel so blessed to have him in my life. Thanks again God!

Baby Caleb at 7 months
I love this little man so much! It gives me butterflies when I look at him. Just to know that God has blessed us with such a miracle makes me just want to cry. I still get teary eyed when he smiles at me or when he giggles or when he just is sleeping and I go and peek in on him.
I hope everyone is doing well. I am excited that summer is over. Not that it will feel any different, but summer is not my favorite time of the year. My favorite time is coming up soon and it is going to be soooooo much fun with it being Caleb's first one. Yes, it's CHRISTMAS!!!! Okay, so I am pushing the seasons a little bit but I am very excited about it. Well, talk to ya'll soon again.

I can't believe how much time goes by so quickly! Josh, Caleb, and I are all doing great. We went downtown today and went to Ripley's and then went to see the movie CLICK. I am still hear and nothing too exciting is happening. Just thought I would give a quick update. Talk to ya again soon.

I miss him already!

Caleb is visiting with his nana and pappa in Houston. They took him this weekend so that Josh and I could pack and move without having to worry about the baby. Oh I miss him so much already. I guess I just need to keep my mind on other things and not have to worry about him. Talk to ya later.

Caleb at 8 weeks and 1 day. I can't believe he is already 2 months old!
Well, New Jersey was awesome as always. I love going home and visiting with everyone. After church on Sunday my mom and all of the girls from the shop surprised me with a baby shower. They had me fooled to come and see Tracy working on someone's hair and when I walked into the shop there stood many familiar faces all of my family from Jersey. I had soooooo much fun and we got so blessed with lots of money and gifts for Caleb. Everyone just loved him and it was so much fun for me to be able to show him off. The rest of the week I just hung out with my mom and dad and sister and her fiance. My family got to be around Caleb alot. When Caleb would wake up in the morning I would get his bottle ready and then my dad fed him breakfast. It was a bonding time for Pop pop and Caleb and then at night Grandma would feed him his dinner. I also got to visit my old job. I miss all the people there especially my old manager Dona. Anyways, I had alot of fun and didn't want to leave. Starting work is a whole other story. I had a little of a breakdown on Monday night but I am working through it. Other than that please be praying for us this next week. We are moving into the house and it is going to be a lot of work. I will try and post more pics soon.

Question of the day...

How long does it take to dry up and how do you do it?

Friday, March 17, 2006

Now we are off to a GOOD START

Thanks to my cousin Karen's advice I tried Good Start from Nestle formula and Caleb seems to love it. He doesn't throw the bottle up. The only problem that I am facing right now with him is for the past week I have been having to help him have a bowel movement with a thermometer. He won't go on his own and then he starts to cry as if he is in so much pain so I help him. It isn't the formula though because he was doing this when he was trying the soy too. He is just having a time adapting from breastmilk to formula. Poor baby but other than that he seems to be okay. We are leaving tomorrow to go to NJ. I am nervous about him and I flying together. I have never had to worry for anyone else except for myself. This is going to be quite a challenge. Pray that everything goes well. Well, I am going to finish packing while he is still asleep. Talk to y'all soon again. Thanks again for all the advice. It feels good to know that I have girls out there to talk to that have been where I am at right now.

Tuesday, March 07, 2006

Well, I finally have a minute to write. Caleb LOVES to be held. I get him to sleep in my arms and then try and put him down and he wakes right up and starts to fuss a little. He is too cute. He curls his lips up and makes a frown. Oh it breaks my heart. On the food side, I have been trying little by little to wean him from breastmilk to formula. I have stopped nursing but I am still pumping. I have to admit it I admire those who breastfeed for a long time, but it is just too hard for me especially getting ready to go back to work. I feel like I can't enjoy the time with him and other people because I am constantly pumping. We went to Josh's family's house this past weekend and I felt a little disconnected because I was always having to pump or worry about pumping. Anyways, I tried the Similac Advance and I don't think that Caleb's stomach could handle it very well because he threw up the bottles that had it in it. So, I have been trying Similac Isomil (Soy milk) and he seems to be taking to it very well. He still spits up a little bit but not vomiting it up like the other stuff. If you have any advice on this situation please feel free to share. I know that breastmilk is the best for him, but I just don't think I can keep doing it. It has been over a month that he has been just on breastmilk so he did get a good part of nutrition. Oh it is so confusing!

On the upside, I can't wait to go to Jersey. I leave on the 18th of this month. Then I get back on the 25th and I have to go back to work on the 27th. Man oh man. But it gets more complicated... we move into the house on the 3rd, 4th, and 5th of April. Oh my word! It is going to be so busy. Thank goodness my mother in-law has offered to watch Caleb that week. I won't have to worry about him in the move. Okay, I think that is it for the update. I will post pics soon of this little bambino! He is growing so fast and becoming more and more awake. TOOO Cute. I am in love all over again. Josh is still my main man though!

Baby Caleb is here!!!

Here he is...

Caleb was born on 2/1/06 at 5:43 in the morning. He weighed 7lbs and .04ozs. His full name is Caleb Paul Allard. I can't explain the feelings that I have been feeling. Words cannot describe! I never knew I could love someone so much and not really even know him. I will write more later but I just wanted to share with everyone all the information and leave with a few pics. Thanks for all the praying. The delivery went well!

Still here and waiting...

I went to the hospital again yesterday because I was having contractions five minutes apart. By the time that I got to the hospital they were 3 minutes apart. The nurse checked my cervix and said that I was still at a two. They said I could either stay and them give me some demeral for the pain and a drip to get me hydrated or I could go home. Forget this hospital stuff. I am not going back until I have a baby's head poking through! I am still 2 weeks until my due date but it just feels like this little guy is wanting to come early and either my body isn't working hard enough or he and I just aren't working together. So that's that.

My father-in-law is over in Israel and is traveling all over there. We received a card in the mail from him when he was in New York for a layover. It was addressed to Caleb Allard from Pappaw Allard. I wanted to share with y'all what it said. I was crying when I read it just cause it was so sweet. It said...

Caleb, I wanted to be the first to wish you a Happy Birthday. You may be celebrating it with Mommy and Daddy while I'm gone. I love you very much and can't wait to hold you. We're going to have a lot of fun together. Save me a big hug... I love you! Pappaw.

So, sweet!

Caleb is in progress!

Well, we went to the doctor's today to see how everything was going and sure enough I am 1 cm dilated! How cool is that? She said that that was pretty good for a first-timer. I'll be glad to accept that news. Now, all I have to do is just wait and wait and wait until this little guy decides to come and join us. I'll post any more updating news asap. Talk to ya soon again.

Baby Showers!!!

My church had a baby shower for me yesterday. I got a lot of really nice stuff. Between this shower, the shower in Houston, and my mom we got a swing, high chair, massage bouncer chair, baby furniture, clothes galore, diapers, diaper genie, and more. I think I have everything now to begin. My mom's friend up in New Jersey even got me that Medela breast pump! All I need now is little Caleb to come out and play with everything. I can't wait to see him. I have a doctor's appt. on the 19th so we will see if I have progressed with anything. My doctor seems really cool about everything. She isn't worried at all. I will have to post some pictures of the neat gifts. Well, I am off to bed now. I am still working and will be working until my water breaks! Lets hope it doesn't happen at work. I just want to be in bed when it happens or on the toilet. Oh well, talk to ya soon again.

The Ticker!!!

Well, the ticker has finally moved to the last stage. I can totally agree with what it says. This boy has no more room in mommy's belly. I can't wait to meet him. Today is January 11th and he is due to come see us February 11th. It is exactly one month today. WoW! Time has gone by so quickly yet it felt like a lifetime while I was going through it. I am so excited though and now I just hope that I can stay healthy until he arrives. I have been sick for a few days and now that I am done taking the antibiotics I feel so much better. I can't wait to be able to post pics of my little man up here either so that all of you blog girls can see him. Thank y'all so much for supporting me through all of it and giving me encouragement through the rough times. It means a lot. Well, I am going to youth tonight so talk to ya soon again!

Not feeling so hot

Well, last night was an interesting night. I didn't feel good since Sunday and then it hit me yesterday all at once. I went to work and was running a fever and having contractions. So, I left work early around 4:00pm. I got home and went straight to bed but that would only last for about an hour or so and then the contractions started getting a little worse that was followed by some serious back pain. So, I called the doctor and they said to go on up to the hospital. Poor Josh was all set for youth and then he had to leave to come and get me. He did a very good job handling everything, although he kept saying "should we get a bag", "we didn't even get a hospital bag packed". He was pretty cute. I told him it was nothing to worry about and that this probably wasn't labor. So we left and got there in a good time! They put me in a room and hooked me up to some monitors. We heard and watched his heart beat and then saw the numbers for my contractions. I was having contractions that were 10 minutes apart and they weren't that consistent. They also checked my cervix and it was closed. So Baby Allard is still staying in the oven. I guess he was just checking to see if we were getting prepared. Also, please be praying for my health. I am on antibiotics now, but I just can't seem to get my immune system up and running well and I don't want to be sick trying to deliver this baby. Labor is bad enough and then being sick on top of it all. Talk to y'all soon again.

Pics of my family and then the big belly shots at 35 weeks!
