I have a minute

I felt bad giving it to her. It breaks my heart that she can't breathe that well. This RSV is not fun stuff at all. She just looks at me with those eyes like that I need to help her. I wish I could breathe for her.

Her big brother was showing her how to do it. So sweet.
This was yesterday. It was her second time to try cereal. I figured it would help her sleep a little better with a fuller stomach.

She has found her toes and feet and she loves them. They seem to be the next coolest thing in her life besides her big brother. If you look really close in the picture you can see her little rash on the underneath of her thigh.

At the doctor's office yesterday they weighed her and measured her length. She now weighs 16lbs 12 oz and her length is 25 1/2 inches. She is just growing everyday.

Caleb is going to be 3 in a week and that is just crazy to me. He is just so handsome and he knows how to hold his hand up with the right amount of fingers for his age. I just love him so much. It is quite humorous to me how God made a little Josh with Caleb and then a little me with Sadie Rae. They really are our little mini me's.

Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house. Not a creature was stirring not even a mouse. The stockings were hung by the chimney with care, in hopes that St. Nick would soon be there.

The children were nestled all snug in their beds, while visions of sugar-plums danced in their heads...

Sadie Rae's Progress and life

Daddy and Mommy's little angel

Well, due to some insurance issues we haven't been able to get Sadie in for well check-up since she was 2 weeks old. Thank goodness she has been a healthy baby with no problems. Yesterday she weighed in at a whopping 15.15 oz! She was 24.5 inches long and her head was 16 inches around. She is my beautiful big girl. The doctor said she looked as healthy as can be. I have had to switch her diapers back though due to her sensitive skin. She has been having a bad rash type thing in her diaper area and I thought it was my antibiotics from the breastmilk but the doctor said to go ahead and go back to the other diapers I was using and see if that works. So back to pampers it is. I had switched to luvs but apparently her bottom is too sensitive for those. She also got 2 shots yesterday. She was suppose to get 5 but I discussed it with my doctor and decided to space them out. I am a little more paranoid now with all the talk about austism that I just would rather do it this way. Caleb did it the normal way with all the shots at one time and he is just perfect but I am just nervous now because there has been more talk. Who knows maybe I shouldn't listen to the talk but for now we are just going to do things this way with her. She had a horrible time last night with the shots. She screamed for a good hour. Poor Josh had her for a little bit too while I was at worship practice but then I had to leave cause he just didn't know what else to do. It was sweet of him to try and take care of both of them and make dinner. She finally fell asleep around 8:00pm and didn't get up until about 4:00 this morning to nurse. Poor baby. She felt aweful. She is doing better today. I think on top of all this mess of the shots she may even be starting to teeth. She is drooling a bunch and her hands are constantly in her mouth. She is just now almost 4 months. To me that just seems too early to get teeth. Caleb didn't get his until he was about 10 months. So the Allard household is taking it easy this weekend. We are going to relax on our new furniture that we got. I will have to take a picture and post it as soon as I get a new battery charger for my camera. That dumb thing went missing around Christmas time. It is killing me to not be able to take all their pictures. I have a bunch of stuff that will be happening in the next few weeks. My mom is getting a hysterectimy on January 30th so I will be going up to NJ for a couple of weeks with the kids to help out. Caleb will be turning 3! I can't believe I am going to have a 3 year old. It seems like just yesterday he was born. Crazy enough I can still remember him as a newborn but not so much Sadie. It seems like she just turned into a baby. Lots of updates!

A look back

I just wanted to take some time to reflect on this past year. So much has happened. December I found that I was pregnant but not with Sadie. I had lost one before her. Then right after that I took another pregnancy test a about a month later and it was positive. Yeah, we found out for sure in January that we were pregnant with Sadie. February Caleb turned the big 2! Wow, I have a toddler! March I got to go snowboarding and I was pregnant with Sadie. That was fun. Although sometimes I felt a little off balance. May we found out that it was a little girl that was inside me. Caleb knew all along. He kept telling me when we would be home that it was a sisor in there. I thought it was cute but would just blow it off. Then when we went for the ultrasound he was going around the room saying "it's a baby sisor in there" and sure enough the doctor confirmed it for us. July we went to the Heil reunion. That was eventful. September we welcomed baby Sadie Rae into the world and that was one of the most exciting times in my life. She was beautiful and still is of course! Prettiest princess. And then that seems to be it. There are tons of memories that we made this year and this post would take forever if I sat here and listed all of them but they are locked away in my memory. I am so thankful for the joys that I have had this year and I am also thankful for the sorrows. It helps me to appreciate life and God being in my life to experience the pain. If everything was peachy then well that just wouldn't be reality. I love my little family and I am so thankful for both of my beautiful kids. Caleb is the most handsomest prince in the world and Sadie Rae rules the castle! I know God has an awesome year for us in 2009. I am excited and ready to take on the challenge of what He has in store!
