God is Awesome

WOW! Last night was awesome. Of course you are your own worst critic and there is a lot of room for improvement but for what we had last night to be our opening night was great. Josh had challenged all the teens to bring and invite as many of their friends as they could. He said that whoever brought at least 10 would qualify for a PSP or something up to that value of 250.00. Well, normally on an average night we run somewhere between 15-20-25. It all depends. Last night we had 16 of our normal teens that come out and then for our first timers.......drum roll please.......we had 20 ! Thanks to Randy who was our winner. He brought 15 teens. His mother and him made flyers to hand out to his friends and kids in the neighborhood. On the flyers it said that his mom would give them a ride to and from the church. How awesome is that! That is a perfect example of how all the parents should be. Josh preached the salvation message, threw in a drama, and about 6 teens raised their hands (all of them were guests). That is amazing. After that Josh opened the rest of the evening to just fellowship and hang out. We had free hot dogs and soda for the guests and then we also had our snack shack open with nachos and chesse, pickles, candy, soda, and ice pops. It was very successful. It would have been more of a success if all of teens invited their friends! But I praise God for what we had. The God and the angels rejoice if just one come to know our Savior!
