Busy Busy Busy

Well, my previous post said something like that I wasn't sure what I was supposed to be doing but I felt like I had something important........LOTS to do this weekend as always. Tonight, we are practicing for Battle of the Bands next weekend. We need practice especially my voice. I haven't sang in awhile and I feel like I tore it up last night, but not in a good way tore it up. I actually went to bed with a sore throat. Obviously, I wasn't using the technics my vocal coach taught me a long time ago. "Sing from the diaphragm". I was using my chest and throat only. Oh it was bad! Okay, not that bad but it didn't sound good at all. That is a good sign though that I can hear it and admit it because some of those people for example that tried out for American Idol really think that they sound good! I just wish that they could hear it. Oh my it hurts my ears. Anyways, that was a complete bunny trail that I got on. Okay, back to my agenda. Practice tonight and then after practice paint the stage for the youth room. Then clean up a little a decorate a little. Saturday, practice again and fix more in the youth building, get thank you cards made from my wedding. Pretty pathetic I know! I feel like I don't have time to write 500 thank you cards! I am not joking. I had a shower in NJ, Houston, and San Antonio, then we invited around 300 people to our wedding. Not all came but most sent gifts. I love the gifts and it helped so much but to write out 500 thank you notes, I feel like my fingers are just going to crumble. I wrote about 150 so the rest I decided that I was going to get those picture thank yous made up from Walmart. Then I have to clean clean clean my house because Josh's brother and his wife are coming from Houston to spend Memorial Day with us. We are going to BBQ on Monday. That will be fun. We don't get to see them much because Josh and Michael are both Youth Pastors and that takes up so much time. Sunday, church all day. That is a given. Monday, BBQ. And that is it... unless something else pops up which I am sure it will. I feel like I am worn out already writing about it. Okay, talk to ya later

You ever feel like you are suppose to be doing or going somewhere really important but you just can't figure it out? Well, that is what I feel like about this weekend coming up but I just can't pin point it. I know next weekend we are going to Houston to be in the battle of the bands competition, but for some odd reason I have a feeling that Josh and I are going to miss something really important this weekend. Okay, on to the next subject...

Yeah to Carrie Underwood for winning American Idol! I thought she did awesome with Rascal Flatts. It was so great. I love that song. I honestly believe that if either one, Bo or Carrie, won last night that I would not have been disappointed. They both deserved to be the last ones standing. I think Carrie is going to make a great country singer and I think that Bo will make an awesome rock singer.

My parents will be coming down in July! That is pretty exciting since I haven't seen them since Josh and my wedding. It will be six months in June. I talk to my family everyday though so that is good.

I can't wait for that movie Madagascar comes out on Friday. I want to see that so bad. It looks really funny. Another movie I want to see is The Longest Yard. That looks hilarious too.

Not that I am wishing the summer by, but I can't wait for Christmas time again. I love that time of year. Summer is okay. It isn't my favorite time of year. My favorite time of year is Christmas, then Fall, Spring, and Summer.

Well, I am going to start work now... Can't wait for this day to be over. Actually, I can't wait for tomorrow to be over. Talk later

I can't wait for COLDPLAY

I can't wait until September 24, 2005! It is going to be sooooo much fun. You see I am on the coldplay email list and they sent out to all their members before the public the announcement about their shows. Immediately, without hesitation, I purchased the max amount of tickets I could and that was four, for their show in Houston. They are the best band ever!!! Did anyone see them on SNL this weekend? Oh, my, the sounded so good live. Anyone who hasn't heard of them or hasn't seen them live need to. I recommend it to anyone. Their music has it's own style that sounds like no other and it is so calming. Okay, I need to get back to work but something just came over me when I heard September 24th. Talk to y'all later!

Two dates ah ah ah

Well, this weekend went pretty good. Josh and I went on two dates. Friday night was our alone night. First, we went to Outback for dinner. That was really good, but disappointingly I got full really fast and didn't eat hardly anything. It was really weird. Normally, I am stuffing my face there. Then we left and saw the movie "Kicking and Screaming" with Will Ferral. It was really funny. I love Will! He is one of my favorites. Then we came home and just crashed. Saturday Josh was doing a thing with the church and Convoy of Hope all day and I stayed home and slept in and then did some chores around the house. When Josh came home, we got ready and picked up Isaac and Audrey and went to Rudy's. After that, we went to go see the movie "Fever Pitch". That was a really good movie too! Two movies, two dates, it was great! Sunday was a pretty normal day. Went to church, came home, ate, went back to church, went to IHOP, came home, went to bed. Sounds exciting. So that was my weekend. I am not sure if there is anything going this weekend. Oh, I do get Monday off for memorial day and it's paid! Okay, well I am going to attempt to start working. Talk to y'all soon again.

A friend gave this to me!

Subject: THE MAYONNAISE JAR AND COFFEE

When things in your life seem almost too much to handle, when 24 hours in a day are not enough, remember the mayonnaise jar . . and the coffee. A professor stood before his Philosophy class and had some items in front of him. When the class began, wordlessly, he picked up a very large and empty mayonnaise jar and proceeded to fill it with golf balls. He then asked the students if the jar was full. They agreed that it was. The professor then picked up a box of pebbles and poured them into the jar. He shook the jar lightly. The pebbles rolled into the open areas between the golf balls. He then asked the students again if the jar was full. They agreed it was. The professor next picked up a box of sand and poured it into the jar. Of course, the sand filled up everything else. He asked once more if the jar was full. The students responded with an unanimous "yes." The professor then produced two cups of coffee from under the table and poured the entire contents into the jar, effectively filling the empty space between the sand. The students laughed. "Now" said the professor, as the laughter subsided, "I want you to recognize that this jar represents your life." "The golf balls are the important things - your God, family, your children, your health, your friends, and your favorite passions - things that if everything else was lost and only they remained, your life would still be full." "The pebbles are the other things that matter like your job, your house, and your car." "The sand is everything else-the small stuff." "If you put the sand into the jar first," he continued, there is no room for the pebbles or the golf balls." "The same goes for life." "If you spend all your time and energy on the small stuff, you will never have room for the things that are important to you." Pay attention to the things that are critical to your happiness. Play with your children. Take time to get medical checkups. Take your partner out to dinner. Play another 18. There will always be time to clean the house and fix the disposal. Take care of the golf balls first, the things that really matter. Set your priorities. The rest is just sand. One of the students raised her hand and inquired what the coffee represented. The professor smiled. "I'm glad you asked." "It just goes to show you that no matter how full your life may seem, there's always room for a couple of cups of coffee with a friend."

B-A-N-A-N-A-S!

Okay, call me crazy, but whenever I hear that song from Gwen I just want to jump up and start doing my old cheers! I use to be a cheerleader in high school and I loved it. If this song came out when I was in high school I know for a fact that we would be using it for a dance routine or something. It makes me want to go to a football or basketball game. "Few times been around that track and it's not just gonna happen like that, cause I ain't know hola back girl, I ain't know hola back girl". Ha ha. Well, that was my two cents for the day. I feel like I am going bananas. Speaking of bananas, my mom and I were having a discussion this morning on the phone that when I get pregnant I won't be able to take a lot of medicine or stuff to keep my allergies away, then she also told me that one of the home remedies for cough is eating a banana. It helps coat the throat and stop the dripping. It is quite interesting. Gotta get back to work. I'll try and write more later!

Monday Mornings Yuck!

Monday mornings are always a bummer for me. I am sooo sleepy from the weekend. Oh and my stupid alarm clock went off an hour early this morning. So, while I am walking around tryin to get the dogs up, I noticed that it was still dark out. My poor dogs didn't want to get up either. I realized what time it was and then went back to bed. When I get home tonight I am getting in my pajamas and either cuddling up on the couch or going straight to bed. Write more later.

YEAH! IT'S FRIDAY AGAIN!

Very excited that it is Friday. We have a long weekend a head of us but it will be nice to be off from work. Tonight, I have to go home and clean clean clean because on Saturday night we are having our friends Matt and Heather over for dinner and a movie. I love times like that, but the reason I am not cleaning Satur DAY is because we have to be up at the church by 7:15AM for a yard sale that the youth is doing to raise money for STL. We have sold table for twenty dollars each and then asked if they wanted to at the end of the day donate half of their sale to STL. They don't have to but if they wanted to we'll take it. And then of course Sunday is always busy all day, so there ya have it. Gonna be a long weekend, but it will be good. I hope everyone else has a great weekend. I am almost sure Cary and Melissa will. They are suppose to be having their baby today! So they are probably ecstatic! I sure would be. I have to get back to work but I will blog later.

Good Morning

One more day and then it is the weekend. Pretty sad when you are counting down all the time. I am sooooo sleepy today. I didn't get enough sleep last night at all. I have to get to workin, but my devotion for today was Proverbs 31 and it was great. I wish I could be like that woman. Write later!

This may help! It helped me.

Isaiah 41:13
For I am the LORD, your God, who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you.
Even when we feel that we can't go on and that there is no help, He is always there for us and will help us with whatever the situation may be!

I'm Back

Okay, you may have thought that I ran away, but I didn't. This has been a pretty eventful weekend/beginning of the week. Let me start from friday. I didn't really do anything because it was Isaac's birthday, so we all went out to eat and then Josh took the guys to the garage (new youth room) and they jammed out until like 2:00 in the morning. Saturday, Josh and I woke up and went to our all church conference. That was from 9:00-12:00. It wasn't too bad. After that we came home and crashed. We had a really nice nap. Around 7:00 I woke Josh up and we decided to go down to the riverwalk. It was so nice. We had such a great time. It felt like we were dating again. Josh took me to this really nice resturant called Paesanos. It was right on the river so we could see the water. We ate a lot. I got shrimp and pasta in this wine/butter/garlic sauce and Josh got shrimp/fettucini alfredo. Then we got dessert. Tirmisu!! Hmmmmm. So good. After that we figured we needed to walk a little of that off, so we took a walk around the river and got lost a little bit, but we eventually found our way out. Sunday, we went to church and then decided to drive to Houston to see Josh's mom for Mother's day! I wish I could have seen my mom. Boo hoo :( But I was glad that Josh got to see his mom for mother's day. So, we hung out there for a few hours and ate dinner with them. His brother and his wife came over too, so we were all there to hang out even Lacey. Then Josh and I gathered the dogs (we brought them too) and loaded up the car and drove back home. We got home pretty late. Monday morning I come into work and noticed that the phones and the internet wasn't working. So, I couldn't do anything really except for file. That's what I did all day Monday and all day Tuesday. Today, we finally have everything back to normal. So that's that! I am glad to be back on the blog. I would have wrote from home, but even when I got home I was super busy. Crazy! I am glad to be back.

Happy Graduation to Gaitha!!!
Yeah to getting your degree. Congratulations for graduating from SAGU.
I'm happy for you.

I'm craving the Blog!

Okay, since I got this new position I don't have to goof off anymore, I have worked after hours, and I am really tired now. But I guess that is the breaks with more responsibility. Anyways, I am craving the blog now cause I can't do it all the time now. It's pretty pathetic. You know what is also pathetic is that we went to the movies last night with another couple that are our friends from college and I was falling asleep in the movies. It's pretty sad. I feel like an old fart. I don't understand how all my old friends (crazy party people from high school that I don't talk to anymore) can work all day and then go out until like 3:00 in the morning and have hangovers the next day for work and just get up and go again. It doesn't make sense. My body would fall over and die! Well, I'm glad I am out of that scene! I don't think I have many plans for this weekend. I have a conference in the morning on Saturday but besides that I will just be making our house look pretty. The weekends are the only time that I can straighten everything up. I am going to start my day now and I will try to blog a little later maybe during my lunch break.

This day is going great! Praise God Praise God!

Okay, awesome news at work. I can't go into much detail just yet but let's just say that I am moving up in the company. God is so good!!! I can't get over it.

Chick-fil-a Too!

Oh yeah, and on a side note of that previous blog, I also received a coupon in the mail good for a sandwich attached to a letter from chick-fil-a saying that they appreciate my business! So my lunch is free too! God is so great how He provides for everything! I just feel really blessed today.

God is so good!

God is really awesome. Just when you think that you can't handle it financially anymore, God shows up and reminds you of how awesome and faithful He is. Not that Josh and I are in a huge hole but we have our regular bills and few added things ;). Money has been pretty tight since our taxes and now we are trying to get out, but I was a little afraid of what was going to happen or how I was suppose to juggle everything around to make things work. Then today as I was opening all of our bills that I got in the mail, among there was a nice fat check made out to me that was from my old auto insurance company. They had made some adjustments and realized that they owed me money!!! Praise God! He is so good. That just shows that when you are faithful and you pay your tithes and you believe that God will provide for you, He will. He is always there for you even in your selfishness He is there for you. Thank you Jesus!

Our kids and Josh at Fine Arts Posted by Hello

Fun was had by all!

This weekend was so exciting. Josh and I left with the teenagers on Thursday around 7:00pm to drive down to Houston. The drive wasn't too bad but I didn't have to drive so that is probably why it was better. Once we got there we went to Josh's dad's church to meet up with his brother so we could practice more for fine arts. All the guys stayed there over night while the girls went to Josh's brothers house and stayed with his wife Melissa. The girls went to bed almost right away. For some reason though Melissa could not go to sleep. Her and I stayed up literally the whole night! I haven't done that since high school. It was fun. All we did was talk about everything that was going on in our life. I guess you could say it was something like a bonding moment. Then all day Friday and Saturday was fine arts.
Friday night I finally got to meet my new friends Michelle and Kristen Rene. It was very exciting and they were the nicest girls ever. It was funny when we were meeting cause we were trying to find out what we were wearing over our cell phones that way we could find each other easier. It felt like I was like looking for a blind date or something! Just kiddin. I wish that we could have got to hang out a little more, but we were so stinkin busy with the teenagers. It feels like I didn't stop going. So, overall I had a great weekend. It was just not restful. I will try and post some pictures when I get on my home computer later tonight.
