I went to the hospital again yesterday because I was having contractions five minutes apart. By the time that I got to the hospital they were 3 minutes apart. The nurse checked my cervix and said that I was still at a two. They said I could either stay and them give me some demeral for the pain and a drip to get me hydrated or I could go home. Forget this hospital stuff. I am not going back until I have a baby's head poking through! I am still 2 weeks until my due date but it just feels like this little guy is wanting to come early and either my body isn't working hard enough or he and I just aren't working together. So that's that.
My father-in-law is over in Israel and is traveling all over there. We received a card in the mail from him when he was in New York for a layover. It was addressed to Caleb Allard from Pappaw Allard. I wanted to share with y'all what it said. I was crying when I read it just cause it was so sweet. It said...
Caleb, I wanted to be the first to wish you a Happy Birthday. You may be celebrating it with Mommy and Daddy while I'm gone. I love you very much and can't wait to hold you. We're going to have a lot of fun together. Save me a big hug... I love you! Pappaw.
So, sweet!

Caleb is in progress!
Well, we went to the doctor's today to see how everything was going and sure enough I am 1 cm dilated! How cool is that? She said that that was pretty good for a first-timer. I'll be glad to accept that news. Now, all I have to do is just wait and wait and wait until this little guy decides to come and join us. I'll post any more updating news asap. Talk to ya soon again.

Baby Showers!!!
My church had a baby shower for me yesterday. I got a lot of really nice stuff. Between this shower, the shower in Houston, and my mom we got a swing, high chair, massage bouncer chair, baby furniture, clothes galore, diapers, diaper genie, and more. I think I have everything now to begin. My mom's friend up in New Jersey even got me that Medela breast pump! All I need now is little Caleb to come out and play with everything. I can't wait to see him. I have a doctor's appt. on the 19th so we will see if I have progressed with anything. My doctor seems really cool about everything. She isn't worried at all. I will have to post some pictures of the neat gifts. Well, I am off to bed now. I am still working and will be working until my water breaks! Lets hope it doesn't happen at work. I just want to be in bed when it happens or on the toilet. Oh well, talk to ya soon again.

The Ticker!!!
Well, the ticker has finally moved to the last stage. I can totally agree with what it says. This boy has no more room in mommy's belly. I can't wait to meet him. Today is January 11th and he is due to come see us February 11th. It is exactly one month today. WoW! Time has gone by so quickly yet it felt like a lifetime while I was going through it. I am so excited though and now I just hope that I can stay healthy until he arrives. I have been sick for a few days and now that I am done taking the antibiotics I feel so much better. I can't wait to be able to post pics of my little man up here either so that all of you blog girls can see him. Thank y'all so much for supporting me through all of it and giving me encouragement through the rough times. It means a lot. Well, I am going to youth tonight so talk to ya soon again!

Not feeling so hot
Well, last night was an interesting night. I didn't feel good since Sunday and then it hit me yesterday all at once. I went to work and was running a fever and having contractions. So, I left work early around 4:00pm. I got home and went straight to bed but that would only last for about an hour or so and then the contractions started getting a little worse that was followed by some serious back pain. So, I called the doctor and they said to go on up to the hospital. Poor Josh was all set for youth and then he had to leave to come and get me. He did a very good job handling everything, although he kept saying "should we get a bag", "we didn't even get a hospital bag packed". He was pretty cute. I told him it was nothing to worry about and that this probably wasn't labor. So we left and got there in a good time! They put me in a room and hooked me up to some monitors. We heard and watched his heart beat and then saw the numbers for my contractions. I was having contractions that were 10 minutes apart and they weren't that consistent. They also checked my cervix and it was closed. So Baby Allard is still staying in the oven. I guess he was just checking to see if we were getting prepared. Also, please be praying for my health. I am on antibiotics now, but I just can't seem to get my immune system up and running well and I don't want to be sick trying to deliver this baby. Labor is bad enough and then being sick on top of it all. Talk to y'all soon again.
